The Land of the Three…………… crowns | Geleceke Mektuplar III

Oh Stockholm! In a sentence praising thee, words turn into nymphs, seducing me. The Sirens sing thy decree, as Apollo chase thee, oh Stockholm.

Together we were for a single summer’s time, yet thou hath left me with a yearning that shall live a life time, a life time of mine.

This much pretencious literature overdose should do you good for 3 months at least. I promise to give you another fix before that just keep you warm and fuzzy inside. (I don’t even know what I’m talking about.)

So, there I am, booking a flight to Stockholm for a short trip to the German Embassy  there. The date of the outward journey is 15th of September, 2008. The day I had left Stockholm, after a 3-month stay was 14th of September in 2007. It felt like I was en route to complete something I had left unfinished, going back the next day I left; as a physicist I can assume 3 years is a negligible amount of time. Is it a twist of fate or just coincidence; we will never know… Well, I do already, but someone suggested me too add some mystery into my articles.

It was a Sunday evening when I arrived in Stockholm. I needed a place to sleep, and Facebook had taken care of that. I met up with Arzu and she took me to the place she stayed, a shared apartment owned by a weird old guy –who reminded me of someone in a disturbing way. Albeit, she was to leave for Istanbul early in the next morning, we found the little chit chat better than sleeping (at least I did) and stayed up till 2a.m. or so.

The next day after I am finished at the Embassy I took off and decided to use my time until the flight in the evening wandering the streets I used to wander. I took photos that are copies of some photos, which I have taken 3 years ago; same places, same angles.[coming soon to this blog] I have also paid a visit to the Science Fiction BokHandeln and bough the Asimov’s second book in Foundation series. I am looking forward to start as soon as I am done with Palahniuk’s “The Haunted”. I also bought the new Paradise Lost DVD; The Anatomy of Melancholy at Drottningsgatan, where I remember buying Paradise Lost’s self titled album while it was released back in 2005.

On the long way to the Nyköping Airport (RyanAir does not fly to Arlanda L ) a nice Swedish lady in her 30s sat next to me. Traveling with her husband and parents-in-law, she shared a lot of nice stories. Those, I will tell later; I have to go check-in to my flight to Istanbul now. (It is now 3pm, and I am sitting at the dining hall of the Brussel’s Airport. Below; the view)

PS. Arzu ve Erkin'e çok teşekkürler :)
